Introducing the resonant-non-resonant Duk.
Before we can translate this complex mantra, we need to
tell you about a new mrdanga stroke
called Duk.
Duk is a resonant plus non-resonant combination note.
 It
consists of the non-resonant ti
and the resonant ge
played at the same time.
"ti" + "ge" = "duk"
It may be played either soft or loud. When played softly, it's
written as duk (lowercase "d"). When
played loudly, it's written as Duk (uppercase "D").
You need to learn that now.
Let's practice duk and dha
together, to see how they go. Here's a practice beat known as the
"Duk-dha Practice Beat."

Note the last "Ge" is uppercase. That means you need
to play it louder than the others. Note also that this practice
mantra has three combination strokes, but the last Ge is
alone (only one hand plays).
