What to expect

Hare Krsna. My name is Vipramukhya dasa, a former sannyasi and former spiritual leader in ISKCON. I presently live in Amarillo, Texas.

This website was developed when I was still a sannyasi. Though these old pictures of me still have me dressed as a sannyasi, I am no longer in that role, nor do I dress as a sannyasi anymore. Click here to read an announcement about my present status.

Although I no longer live in the association of devotees, I used to play regularly and teach devotees how to play this unique drum. If you ever wanted to learn how to play the Mrdanga, you have come to the right place.

I'm going to teach you how to play. But you have to read every word I say on every page (including this one) and take every lesson without skipping ahead.

If you do that, I promise you that by the time you finish this course, you'll be able to play the mrdanga!

I don't look like the picture on the right anymore, but that's what I used to look like when I was a sannyasi.
