Salagrams can be identified as different forms of the Lord according to Their natural shape and markings. The markings are all natural, as found at the Kali-Gandaki River. The round group of Salagrams are generally called Hiranyagarbha in Nepal, but Padmanabh Goswami once told me They are Vamana. The three Salagrams in the front: on the left is Surya Narayan. In the middle - I don't know yet, but He was the first Salagram we found during our recent trip to the Kali-Gandaki River. On the right is Padmanabha.
